I have been natural for 5 years. I did the big chop and things were great, until 2020. I was able to grow my hair from tea to arm pit length. I began to notice some thinning in the back of my head. And around my hairline and slightly above that area. I sought out a Dermatologist via a referral and she has made everything worse. The thinning I initial had, has turned into bald spots. The dermatologist diagnosed me with an auto immune illness prior to doing any biopsy CCCA. After 2 and 1/2 months of treatment that I never need. It took that time for me to wake up and to take control of my own health. This dermatologist did not have a clue. I have wasted my time, my life, she was given me scalp steroid injections monthly along with a daily use of a topical ointments and creams. Very expenive vitamins. I originally found out that during the pandemic I developed extremely low levels of Vitamin D. This has been corrected. It has been over 6 months now. The medication that this dermatologist used in my scalp was a very high dose and has caused me quite a few areas that are bald and dealing with atrophy I really need help. I am very upset as to the way it all happen. But now I am trying to focus on, what can I do to help me. Would like to make positive changes in my regimen that will help me to get my natural hair heath back on track. If it's not to late I would like to join this challenge. Thank you!
