Hello love, you most definitely can use a brush to brush the scalp on the days you do your scientific brushing which purpose is to loosen up debris on the scalp and to spread your sebum. Using the brush alone does not clean the scalp. You could use a brush on the day you use your scalp scrub and shampoo your hair. Thats what I do before I use my scalp scrub. I brush my scalp and then I use my scalp scrub. The scalp scrub is recommended once a month. But I also use the brush to brush my scalp before every shampoo. This technique most definitely cleans the scalp and hair. Hope this helps love.
