Hi I need help to make sure I make the most of this group and growth journey. Is it best to do the growth cycle or 7 day challenge? I want to learn both but didn’t know if the 7 day challenge is embedded in the other group? Thanks in advance

COMPLETED THE GROWTH CYCLE BLUEPRINT

GROW CYCLE GURU

I am at the beginning of better health all around. Following the steps Cyn has provided. Noticing changes for the better already. Finally learning to let go of that old stuff I had attached to my heart subconsciously self sabotaging my crown.

so now I am following your advice I have a bald spot in the middle of my head I have been wearing weave and wigs because of this. But now I am determined to regrow my hair by following your teaching.

Hello everyone my name is Ebony Watson. I'm a 50 year old mother of 6 boys and 1 girl. We lost my husband almost 2 years ago. I just went back to school for my business degree and until I found out that hair products were the worse I was going to start my own hair care line instead I'm here trying to get my scalp and hair healthy from the years of using said hair products.

I just had to come & share…

So, coming into the group, I really didn’t make time to “engage”, & yall know, cause @AdminCyn called me out 😆🥰❤️ u sis!, but I am a background, “behind the scene” type person. But y’all, can I say that just by reading y’all posts & the replies & instructions/education that’s been given from @AdminCyn to the Certified’s to all of us in here, 🗣@CynDoll Squad🗣🥰!!! Just from the feed y’all helped reminded me (esp. Cyn) from her teachings, I’ve been doing everything right & what I am currently doing for my daughters hair & and I & I just need to continue/keep it up/be consistent. I was natural up until my mid teens- early 20’s. By the time I was 19/20yo, I went back natural and have been natural ever since. I began to live a full holistic lifestyle @ 26/27yo. I’ve never…

Hello and welcome! Keep in mind, this challenge includes 2 days of scientific brushing - so your best bet is to pick a style and products that will accommodate the routine. Honestly, for your first time (and best results), I'd recommend keeping your style super simple -- only use a leave in conditioner and twist or braid your hair for easy take down/restyle. You can do so starting with blown out hair or by drying under a hooded dryer after installing your braids/twists. If you choose to heat style with a flat iron, be sure to include a heat protectant and use a serum on brushing days.

The point of this challenge is to learn your hair - what it does/doesn't need, and to let your natural sebum do its job. If you do the challenge once in its most basic form, you'll then be able to move forward with your fave styles (& will likely opt for using far less product). The more product you use, the more difficult it will be to see how your hair is responding. A gel, an oil, a mousse, and shea butter is a lot of product and using all will defeat the purpose of this challenge. Also, some (strong-hold?) gels may complicate brushing - an extremely crucial and beneficial element of the challenge. My first week was simple - added my leave in, blow dried, did 2 cornrows... that's it. I didn't add any other product besides a bit of oil on my brushing days for strand lubrication (none on my scalp)- turns out, my hair truly doesn't need any additional product... and it's been the same result for almost a of us. Good luck!

Seeing that water is not to be used on the hair until wash day, how does one moisturize the hair whilst wearing braids? Which brand of serums do you recommend? When rollersetting what is the best technique to use in terms of layering products for the set

You do all of the product layering on wash day, you wash your hair on wash day, if needed on day 5 you can add either and oil or a serum when doing your scalp massage depending on your hair needs, this challenge is to help you not have to reset or remoisturize during the week

Wash day done, looking forward to the rest of the week. 👍🏾

Hello love and welcome to the group. I understand how you feel. Cyn is referring to extra protein that we all wanna add to our hair. Please don't worry yourself about this. Product lines are formulated to have the correct protein and moisture balance the hair and scalp needs. You don't have to do anything but choose a good product. Make sure to use a scalp scrub to clarify your hair and scalp once a month. You need a shampoo, conditioner, a leave in, a oil and a serum. That's all. Please follow the directions to the T. Don't make your own directions. You will be fine if you dont do anything extra. Please check out Cyns Amazon store for a list of products for your hairs porosity and you have it made. She have made it so easy for us and ha taken out all the guess work. Wash, shampoo, leave in, oils, comb, massage, brush, and and style. Then do it all over again every wash day. Simplicity is the key. I hope this helps.

I have been natural for 5 years. I did the big chop and things were great, until 2020. I was able to grow my hair from tea to arm pit length. I began to notice some thinning in the back of my head. And around my hairline and slightly above that area. I sought out a Dermatologist via a referral and she has made everything worse. The thinning I initial had, has turned into bald spots. The dermatologist diagnosed me with an auto immune illness prior to doing any biopsy CCCA. After 2 and 1/2 months of treatment that I never need. It took that time for me to wake up and to take control of my own health. This dermatologist did not have a clue. I have wasted my time, my life, she was given me scalp steroid injections monthly along with a daily use of a topical ointments…

Hello trinity723, thank you for the warm welcome. Yes, definitely I can't wait to get to know my hair better. And to get my hair back on track.

I was completely natural for about 8-9 years until around May 2021 and I did a mild relaxer on my hair for about 10 minutes to be able to manage. Even though my hair is a fine texture, it's thicker in the back. My hair in it's straight state is about bra strap length but I want, no, neeeed it to be in a healthier state

The video has all the notes you need. The pdf isn’t needed for the challenge it was just extra.

I participated in the latest challenge and still following the guidelines to healthy hair. My issue is that my ends are so dry and I see so much breakage when I comb and/ or brush through my hair. My regimen is 1. Wash hair on Sundays with matching shampoo and rinse out conditioner. Then follow up with a leave in conditioner and style with a foam. My style is usually flat twists or 2 french braids. I have been a natural since 2009 and cannot retain length. The longest my hair ever reaches is armpit length. My last trim was April but I am due for another soon. However, I won't be able to see my stylist until August so that is why I cut off about 2 inches all around due to the brittle ends. I am low porosity and have high sebum level. I need help wi…

I've been 1 year fully natural, my hair is growing, but my ends are Always rough!

Day 3 😁 hair is a little dry but still softener than usual. I am low porosity. I am a victim of the wash and go but no more!!!!🤣💜

After years of not knowing my hair porosity, and multiple protein overloads, I finally have found a good regiment. I’m at armpit length after being stuck at collarbone length because of too frequent trimming. Aiming for bra strap length by the end of the year!!

Hello beautiful, so good to hear of your progress! Keep up the good work!

I have and have had mechanical damage for years and didn't know I had it or why...(been detangling on wet hair). Plenty of spilt ends and single strand knots at the end of my hair strands but also splits in the midshaft. Breakage around the four sections I always split my hair into...Im bout to cut the damage off and start fresh with a new routine...if I can ever figure this hair stuff out...Help!

Tsass24 sweetie dont you cry NO MORE. I had baby edges now i have toddler edges. Mines didnt fall out from wigs, weaves or braids i was literally plucking mines out. It comes from my anxiety. I use to be embarrassed and yes it got worse when everybody wanted to start rocking baby hairs and talking bad about people with no edges but honey im here to tell you dont let that mess get you down. What saved me from the tears was my 1on1 with Cyn. She let me know theres no need to cry or be embarrassed and gave me a few things to do and now like i always say at this point i have toddler edges 😂. Now what worked for me might not work for you so i will leave that to Cyn. Im just here to tell you hold your head up high your BEAUTIFUL 😍💚
